Biography

The Howling Eye mixes groovy drums, chunky basslines, and fuzzed-out guitar melodies to create a unique flavour of psychedelic rock. Their sound combines All Them Witches’ storytelling, King Gizzard’s style blending and Frank Zappa’s avant-garde attitude. The band experiments on psychedelic rock, injecting it with elements of funk, post rock and doom metal. Hailing from Bydgoszcz, Poland, the band was formed by Miłosz Wojciechowski (bass), Hubert “Cebula” Lewandowski (drums, vocals) and Jan Chojnowski (guitar), united in deep passion for soul crushing riffs and slow, trance-like psychedelia. Following their debut EP “Dying Sun”, the trio shifted toward a more vigorous and experimental sound, reaching out to their punk and heavy roots and drawing influence from progressive and stoner rock. That change soon resulted in yet another release, a full length album “Sonorous”, and an introduction of a new member, Jonathan Garcia Valero (percussions, vocals). After many trials and tribulations The Howling Eye returns with a new single and a music video. Medival is a bard’s tale of seeing through social hierarchies, defying the laws of tradition and seeking your own path in life. Inspired by early European music, punk and surf rock, the song structure compliments the age-old lyrical themes. Baroque-like melody, guitar ornaments and funky rhythm section steadily work their way towards an explosive climax.
