Fury in the Slaughterhouse was Germany's most popular rock band for two decades, selling more than four million albums thanks to a marketable mix of metal, post-grunge, and industrial rock. When the group took an indefinite hiatus in 2008, brothers Kai Uwe Wingenfelder and Thorsten Wingenfelder briefly pursued their own projects before teaming up once again to form the rock duo wingenfelder:Wingenfelder.
