Biography

Max Houldsworth and Laurie Owen-Ward first met in 2015, they became friends over a shared love of new rock music. When both members discovered the other played instruments, the idea of Perfect Strangers was born. 
 The next five years were full of endless conversations of who they could be and what they could do if they ever became a band, so in early 2020 at the age of 18, Laurie and Max wrote their first song: Sweet Little Devil. 
 Almost immediately following this, the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown began, all through this period Perfect Strangers' energy was channelled into writing more songs and using email attachments and Garageband to create crude demos. 
 Eventually, the lockdowns ceased and using basic microphones and little to no technical knowledge, with some help Perfect Strangers released their first 2 singles in late 2020. 
 Fast forward to the present day and Perfect Strangers have released their debut EP 'Extension,' played their first headline show, opened for bands such as Sick Joy and Bloodhounds and are currently working on their next big project.
