    Steve Taylor & the Perfect Foil is a Christian alt-rock band led by the singer/songwriter/producer/actor formerly of Chagall Guevara. Formed in 2010 with guitarist Jimmy Abegg (Vector), bass player John Mark Painter (Fleming & John), and drummer Peter Furler (Newsboys), the group released its first album, Goliath, in late 2014 with Splint Entertainment. Sharp and seething, it appeared on the Billboard Top Christian Albums and Independent Albums charts. The EP Wow to the Deadness followed on Sounds Familyre in 2016. ~ Marcy Donelson, Rovi
