Jesus tells his disciples
But you shall receive power
When the Holy spirit has come upon you

What does this mean for our generation?
The same spirit that was poured out then
Has been poured out on us now
And it's for a purpose to be witnesses of his resurrection
To go out to our immediate communities
To our neighbourhoods
To our cities
To our nations
To the ends of the world
To proclaim the hope that he brings
In his name, sins are forgiven
Sicknesses are healed
Families are reconciled
Poverty is defeated
And nations are being rebuilt
Now it's time for you and I
My brother, my sister to rise up
Go do what God has called us to do
It's our turn now
