Biography

Born Mwesigwa Cohen Junior, known by his stage name Kohen Jaycee is a Ugandan RnB Artist, Singer/Vocalist, and Live Performer. Kohen Jaycee has a discography of EPs and singles that are second to none. His unique sound has become a part of the very fabric of Ugandan pop music. Driven by his love for the craft, Kohen began pursuing his dreams young, making poetry and acoustic music shows in school and during school breaks under the mentorship of Kagayi Peter, a poet, and writer from Uganda. Initially known for performing covers of popular songs and sharing them on his Facebook and other social media platforms, he captured hearts. Kohen has since been writing and releasing his own Music with Two Number 1 Solo EPs, One Collaborative EP with Ugandan producer Axon and enough radio hits to make him a crowd favorite. 
 His Debut EP titled Wena was released under his independent Label NINYOWE MUSIC AFRICA & BANTU VIBES on NOVEMBER 15TH 2019. 
WENA CHAPTER 2, a follow-up to the emotional roller coaster was released on #WenaDay, November 15th 2021, under NINYOWE MUSIC AFRICA and Distributed by Republic54 and JAM Distro. 
 Kohen blends Contemporary and Urban RnB with the native influences of Africa to create the Afro-Urban Sounds we hear in his Music.
