Biography

Based in London, JBAG is a Franco-Italo duo comprising of Jerry Bouthier and Andrea Gorgerino. Bonding over shared inspirations such as balearic, disco, house, funk, electro, new-wave… and a deep fondness for melody, the pair kicked off a long-lasting musical bromance. Pioneer of the Parisian balearic/rave scene, Jerry Bouthier is part of the Kitsuné family, sound designer for fashion (Vivienne Westwood etc) as well as A&R of CONTINENTAL RECORDS.  A classically trained virtuoso who started piano at 5 and studied composition at 12, Turinese Andrea Gorgerino is a prodigious force in the studio and an in-demand engineer/producer (from underground techno smashes to Italian pop via film scores). JBAG have remixed the likes of Sparks, Two Door Cinema Club, S-Express, Kylie, Ladyhawke, Arnaud Rebotini etc. After having embraced electroclash, the duo galvanised by Belgian and Scandi new disco, went baleariscopop, an ambitious hybrid of balearic, disco and indie-pop. A sound developed on their label CONTINENTAL with singles from visiting pals (Adamski, RÜFÜS du Sol, Kamp!, Scarlet Fantastic, Romuald…) as well as rising talents (Bleu Toucan, Reflex, Club Domani, Mannequine…).
