Biography

Benhur, stylised as ‘benhurzz’, is a self-made artist, writer, multi-instrumentalist, sound engineer and producer of multiple genres. He started off his music production journey at the age of 16, uploading Hip-hop and 'chill' Lo-Fi beats on SoundCloud and YouTube which gave him a slight exposure. Benhur’s catalog of beats has been used by a community of creators around the internet, shared by blogs, featured in various playlists and has also made its way on the radio such as Reprezent FM (hosted by The Pit LDN). Over the years from 2018 to 2022, Benhur concentrated, explored options and sharpened his production abilities into making instrumental music in many genres aside from Hip-hop such as Pop, Electronic, R&B, and Phonk (BIKE PHONK.) As his musicianship, writing, music production, engineering and creativity steadily improved, he decided to drive himself into becoming a vocalist to create full-fledged songs. R&B music heavily impacts him as an artist, artists such as Bryson Tiller, Tory Lanez, keshi, SZA, Drake, Blxst, Justin Bieber, Summer Walker, Ella Mai and more. Benhur merges bouncy, hard-hitting drums along with dreamy, mellow, and dazing instrumentation into his own style of R&B music which is shown in his first vocal track, summer.
