Biography

ALEXANDERPLATZ is the project Alejandro Martínez began in 2016. Martínez is the former guitarist, composer, and producer of the band Klaus&Kinski, with whom from 2008 to 2013 he published three albums and three EPs, which became classics of the Spanish independent scene of the past decade. Alexanderplatz continues the path started in 2008 (marked by an exacerbated musical eclecticism), although nuanced with the presence of recurring sounds from styles such as 80’s pop, synth and dream pop, old-school electronic music, shoegaze, rock and country, folk, melodic song and even different styles of Ibero-American flavor. All this always stems from a strict independence that leads him to compose, interpret, produce, and mix all the material of his two EPs "Contrareforma" (2016) and "Murcia Delenda Est" (2020), and his two LPs "Muera Usted Mañana" (2018) and "Parques Nacionales Españoles" (2021). His new album will be released after the summer of 2023.
