Biography

SUA are a young four-piece band who deftly mixes electronic elements with ‘90s indie rock or post-punk. Formed by vocalist Ane Barrenetxea and bassist Janire López who were eager to play music, became a quartet adding guitarist Julen Gilbert Wright and drummer Esteban Gaviria. They emerged in 2018 with a blast. After their self-titled debut EP was released in March 2019, they won first prize at an emerging band contest and played in BBK Live -one of the biggest festivals in Spain- the same year. Soon they released the video for their first single “Ordu Beltzak”, which was also the name of their first album produced by Haritz Harreguy and launched in October 2019. Their lyrics deal with issues such as beauty canons, the period or stories based on personal experiences. Refusing to conform to any template, this album reflected a powerful rock sound which matches perfectly with their energetic attitude and riotous live shows. SUA returned more powerful with the release of "Ez Dira Gai" which was the lead single of their second full-length "Gorde Genituen Beldurrak". It was produced by Haritz Harreguy and released in December 2022.
