Biography
DIGISAURUS is an electronic pop/rock project from artist and producer, James Allison. Originally from London, England, Allison opened up a recording studio in Columbus, Ohio and engineered sessions with groups like Phantogram, Ezra Furman, and Daminen Jurado, as well as producing records for bands in the area. Allison also performed with numerous groups on guitar, synthesizers and vocals. His extensive performance background includes tour stints with Weezer, Crystal Castles and J. Roddy Walston & The Business. In 2015, Allison dedicated himself wholly to the evolution of music through technology and collaboration under the moniker, Digisaurus. After the release of debut EP, "No More Room for Love," and a series of three singles in 2016, including the electro-pop track, "I Don't Feel Alright," Digisaurus racked up over half a million streams online amassed national media attention from outlets like CMJ, Pop Matters, CD102.5FM, and Lightning 100FM. Inspired by the story of the Beatles humble beginnings in Hamburg (in which they played five hour gigs, seven nights a week, for two years), Allison sold his studio and has spent much of the past 4 years on the road playing over 500 shows at dives, houses, coffee shops, breweries, wineries...wherever would have him to hone his skills as a performer. His progress was reciprocated in 2018 and 2019 with club gigs and festival appearances alongside acts like tuneYards, Parquet Courts, Joywave, and Japanese Breakfast.
