Biography

Hi There:-) Who is Don Redmon? I´m a guy who grew up in a small working-class town in Sweden called Finspang. My love for country music started while I was rocked in the cradle by my folks to the sound of Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Dolly Parton just to mention a few.. and I´ve been in to it ever since:-) I´ve gotten the privilege to share a mutual interest and talent with my dad and that is to sing and play guitar and for that i´m forever thankful! My father and I started a band called ”Don Redmon Band” after a trip to Nashville ten years ago. The name is a tribute to a friend of ours we met there who made a very big impression on the both of us. With Don Redmon Band we´ve played all over Sweden and abroad, made three records and won the Swedish countrymusic championship twice. So now when I´ve reliesed a soloalbum I´ve chosen to call myself Don Redmon (though my real name is Andreas Johansson) since I´m by many recognized as the singer in Don Redmon Band. My biggest passion in life is to sing, play the guitar and write songs, the feeling to perform and to have people sing along with a song I’ve written is the greatest on earth and I thank the lord above for that privilege.
