Biography

James Reipas is an electronic music artist from Helsinki, Finland. The project started about 20 years ago in 1999 and the first album "This Is Not In Fashion" was released by the Australian label Demon Tea Recordings in the year 2001. The music on that album was rather psychedelic avant garde techno and Goa-trance. After that album James Reipas has released several albums, EPs, singles, remixes and compilation tracks. The latest release is the remix Hippikesä (Super Life Records 2023). The current musical style is quite melodic psychedelic techno. James Reipas is also another half of the duo Reipas Longos with the Brazilian artist Hongos Longos. James Reipas plays a lot of live gigs and has played in clubs and festivals in Helsinki, Berlin, Tokyo, Moscow and beyond. James Reipas plays also DJ gigs as Super Reipas DJ.
