Biography
Being Jane Lane is an all-female punk band from Brisbane. Having recently performed at Laneway Brisbane as part of the Girls Rock! stage, the girls are set to unleash their 3rd single 'Be Okay' on March 8th from their upcoming debut album 'Savage Sunday'. The new single ‘Be Okay’, is a catchy punk rock anthem to inspire and remind that despite everything that is happening in our lives, it will Be Okay. They are charging into 2019 to drop the new single with a string of tour shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast and Brisbane. The 5-piece live power train that is Being Jane Lane saw them becoming a finalist in the 2019 QLD Music Awards in the heavy category for their 1st single from the new album ‘Next Step’. Following on from them touring as supports for Alex Lahey, Waax, Raave Tapes and Tired Lion in 2018, they also tore up stages at the Dead of Winter Festival in Brisbane and Wallapolooza on the Gold Coast and fronted local support slots for major punk royalty Frenzal Rhomb and Unwritten Law. Being Jane Lane is Teigan, Lou, PB, Kate and Ami, what began as a musical journey, found them getting more than they ever anticipated. A friendship stronger than words, these 5 women found themselves writing & performing melodic punk songs that would gain a local cult following.
