Biography

On the bass with Mellow Mood since 2005, The Sleeping Tree (real name Giulio Frausin) is one of the curators of La Tempesta Dub, reggae/dub branch of independent label La Tempesta Dischi. 
 After a first album (Leaves and Roots, 2008) released by German net-label 12rec and a self-released EP (Stories, 2011), he was signed by Italian independent label La Tempesta International. His latest album as The Sleeping Tree, “Painless” was released in 2013. “Colours”, EP containing remixes of his songs by a number of Italian electronic/avant-garde musicians was released in 2015. 
 After a long hiatus, during which he focused on his band’s and label’s activities, Frausin teamed up with producer Paolo Baldini (La Tempesta Dischi, Pressure Sounds) to record a new full-length album, containing songs written over the past ten years, and to be released at the beginning of 2022.
