Biography
Kim Syms' career as a vocalist and dance club diva began shortly after high school, when she moved to California and began working as a background vocalist at Motown Records. Her powerful singing was also featured in a number of commercials, including jingles for McDonalds and Doublemint gum. Soon she was recording music of her own, scoring dance hits in the U.K with her singles, "Take My Advice" and "Too Blind to See It," which made it all the way to number one on the U.K. charts. Several follow-up singles from the Too Blind to See It album kept her on the charts in the mid-'90s. She disappeared from the music scene for a while, reemerging in 1999 for a guest appearance on the television show Early Edition to perform with Busta Rhymes and Tone Loc. That same year she released a new single, "Just Can't Get Enough," and returned to the studio to record new material slated for release in 2000. ~ Stacia Proefrock, Rovi
