Having circulated throughout the progressive and technical metal community for the last half-decade, Philadelphia’s Alustrium took the underground by surprise with the release of 2015’s 'A Tunnel to Eden'. Upon its debut, ATTE quickly jumped to the top of numerous “Album of The Year” lists and garnered significant praise and acclaim from many of metal’s most prominent publications. The band’s seamless blend of melodic prowess and blistering, technical mastery have left fans chomping at the bit for a follow up release. After years in the shadows, Alustrium is primed to deliver a well-deserved payoff to those who have waited so patiently for their return. 2020’s 'Insurmountable', while only an EP, covers a wide range of musicality with songs like “Fated to Despair” and “Dark Waters” kicking listeners in the teeth at the onset, while longer and more progressive arrangements, “United in Enmity” and the title track showcase Alustrium’s signature dramatic flare. Matching its more refined and matured musical sensibilities, 'Insurmountable' also boasts some of the band’s strongest lyrical work to date. In 2021, Alustrium signed with Unique Leader Records and released their much anticipated concept record "A Monument to Silence".
