Youth Valley’s style revolves around genres like new wave, post punk and 80’s indie-pop like The Cure, The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart & The Smiths, dressed in a more contemporary shoegaze guitar-based coat, inspired by bands like DIIV. .. The band was created in 2019 in Athens, GR. “It was a matter of life and death, to write songs about the way we felt. Sometimes, when you are in your late 20’s - mid 30’s and life starts to hit you with the rawness of the “real world” you feel so alone, you are about to break. We are just that, oppressed musical souls that never let go of their art, to endure the boss that fired them for no apparent reason, the friends who turned their back on them, the ships that sailed; the realization that whether you are the ship or the shore, it does not really make a difference on how depressing a separation can be. We made music, to survive; and as of now we decided to stop keeping it to ourselves.” Youth Valley's self titled EP with the single ‘Young Sad Lovers’ broke surface on October of 2020, later to be released in a limited 7" double single Vinyl (2021) by Make Me Happy Records. In Summer of 2022, the band performed as the opening act for Bauhaus, at Release Festival in Athens (GR). Their debut album "Lullabies For Adults" will be released June 23 by Make Me Happy Records (Europe) & Shelflife Records (USA) in both Vinyl and CD.
