Divided is a four-piece band from West-Flanders, Belgium. Bringing together the best elements of post-rock and post-hardcore, they feature snarling, antagonistic vocals that complement some seriously powerful riffs. And we are talking serious – they may be new to most of us, but they’re clearly familiar with one another, and the supreme confidence of their songwriting speaks directly to that connection. The vocal delivery exhibits a swagger and abandon that recalls the punk energy of early-2000’s metal crossovers more than the austerity of traditional post-metal, and that kind of fire is absolutely necessary to keep up with the scorching performance happening all around.
