Biography
Aya Waska is a French-speaking Swiss artist. His musical style has evolved over the years and today his inspiration ranges from a mix of reggae, ragga and hip-hop. He has been an avid writer since his young years and his poetical writing expresses his dreams, his fears and his convictions; his texts are positive and full of hope in the future of Man. His first real Connexion album was published in 2009 under the Swiss label Heart of Sun Music, based in Nyon. This project proved to be a wonderful collaboration between artists of different horizons but sharing identical ideals: Akon, Chezidek, Wu Tang Clan, Afu Ra, Yaniss >Odua Nuttea, Turbulence, Jah Mason, Tiwony, Han Khu, and many others. After this first album, a number of concerts and festivals were held throughout Europe (Switzerland, France, Germany, Russia, Spain, Italy, Finland, Austria and more). New collaborations came into being such as the JAMSKI with the mythical American hip hop group M.O.P In 2012, he published a single under the Heart of Sun label “Sème”, an ode to Ganja Farmers, with a most original clip which was recognized by many and highlighted on a number of specialized European Reggae networks. In 2018, after a break for a few years, he was back with a new track “CBD”, then in 2019 with “Incandescence” and “Feu de paille”. These partitions are slightly more trap than his other projects. The artist will edit a new project “Triptik part 1” (in 3 parts) during April 2020.
