Biography
Born in North Carolina and raised in Georgia, Karlae is a prototype for today’s female rappers. An entrepreneur, model, and influencer, Karlae reflects a new generation of musicians uninterested in labels or limitations. Much like Atlanta’s finest, Karlae’s music is refreshingly raw and provides a high-energy soundtrack for confident, unapologetic women. Always having a way with her words and an early interest in poetry, Karlae’s pivot from influencer to rapper is one that came easy to her. Her first time in the booth would be to make a remix of a song inspired by a past relationship. When she posted a snippet of the song to her social media her fanbase naturally gravitated towards it. Her new EP titled Enter serves as Karlae’s first full length project after a string of teasers and singles. This project is Karlae’s formal introduction, allowing fans to “enter” into her mind and world. The project is a culmination of songs from the past and present, expressing Karlae’s life from controversy, to heartbreak, to full on flexes. When reflecting on her mindset when putting together the project Karlae states “I want to do my art, pour myself into it, and give it to people instead of speaking on everything.” Enter houses singles such as “Blind” ft. Lil Yachty and the equally nostalgic yet potent “Did That”. With assistance from collaborators such as Bhad Bhabie, Dess Dior, Yung Mal, and labelmates Young Thug, Gunna, and Yak Gotti; Karlae is making her grand entrance.
