Biography

Born in the bustling Indonesian capital of Jakarta, VVYND [pronounced: wind] evokes the city’s music scene to the previously untapped future soul & alternative R&B sound. VVYND's debut single "Overload" has caught the attention of various notable media outlets including Rolling Stone Indonesia and Bandwagon Asia that described "Overload" as “a proper introduction - sultry, evocative and free of all the contrived elements of an R&B song”. VVYND went on tour with acclaimed Indonesian rapper A. Nayaka and his Blue Room Boys project in 2018, visiting Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Jakarta. During the same year, VVYND was also featured on A. Nayaka & The Blue Room Boys' set at one of Southeast Asia’s biggest music festivals, We The Fest. 2019 marked the year when VVYND collaborated with some of Indonesia’s rising musical acts in the region including AMI Award nominees Emir Hermono, Logic Lost and Mataharibisu. During the height of the pandemic in 2020, VVYND was featured on “RUN IT BACK” by producer GOONZ. Co-written by VVYND, the song went on to receive more than 500.000 streams in less than 2 years. In 2023, VVYND drops his long-awaited second single "Orbit" which marks the start of his first ever era that will be unveiled throughout 2023.
