Biography
Known on screen as Hanani Taylor, Hana Ni is an LA based Alternative R&B singer and lyricist. Hana Ni began performing, singing and acting at age 3. She won her first major singing & acting competitions in Texas when she was 8. At 10, she was the opening act for legendary gospel artist, Yolanda Adams. At the age of 9, she was featured and nationally televised on "Showtime at The Apollo" as a "Kid Star of Tomorrow" and on the “Best of The Apollo.” At 15, Hana Ni was a contestant on American Idol. She made it to the top 60 contestants out of 125,000 people who auditioned across the country. Hana Ni’s video “Too Much Faith” appeared as the “Video Pick of the Day” on BET’s 106 & Park. That year, she also recorded a Holiday duet for the GRAMMY Foundation’s Christmas Card. She was crowned Miss T.E.E.N. Ohio 2013. Hana Ni was invited to perform at the BET Awards Experience Live LA 2014 and recognized as an “up and coming” artist. As a teen, she moved to Los Angeles. She recently had a guest star role on CBS’s Criminal Minds, a lead in the feature film "Raise Your Hand", a recurring role on the Verizon series "Mr. Student Body President", a guest star role on Fox’s “The Orville” & a guest star role on ABC’s “Speechless”. She is also a recurring character on the NBC show “Punky Brewster”. Recently, Hana Ni performed as the opening act for R&B star, Ginuwine, Mila J. Her full length album debuted in early 2018 and her second album in 2021.
