Biography
Few artists capture the spirit of country music like Kendra Kay. Hailing from the Canadian prairies, and raised on the ranch in a rodeo family, her passion for country music runs deep. She has twice earned the MCMA Female Artist of the Year and for the third consecutive year, won the MCMA Fan’s Choice Award. She's earned praise for her ‘powerhouse vocals’ and her live show was called a ‘must see’ by Top Country News. Her sophomore EP ‘More to Me’ was co-produced by Terri Clark, and her latest single 'Wild' was co-written by Carly Pearce, Jeff Pardo and Molly Reed. Kendra has firmly established herself as an artist to watch, garnered over a million global streams and earned a National Top 10 spot in the CBC Searchlight Competition. Armed with her high energy 5-piece band, she has played shows across Canada including the CFL Banjo Bowl Halftime show to over 33,000 screaming fans, joined Tim Hicks on his ‘Get Loud’ Tour, performed with country music icon Patricia Conroy and played festivals such as Canadian Music Week, Boots & Hearts Pre-Party, CCMA Showcases, Roger’s Hometown Hockey Festival and Dauphin’s Countryfest. Along with this, she has opened for artists like James Barker Band, Corb Lund, Dean Brody, Jess Moskaluke and Gord Bamford.
