    Signed as the first female artist to Def Jam South East Asia; SYA’s journey began back in 2019 when she dropped her first ever freestyle to KIKA performed by rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine over on Twitter. 
 As she was gaining momentum over her earlier freestyles; she also caught the attention of Malaysia’s Hip Hop icons SonaOne and Joe Flizzow. Not long after, she was signed under Def Jam SEA as of early 2020. 
 Wasting no time in making her presence known, she later dropped her first single, PrettyGirlBop by the end of 2020, which garnered over 150k views since its debut on YouTube and over 200k streams on Spotify.
