Biography

Alih Jey is a Dominican musician, singer, songwriter and producer. She was the first Dominican nominated for a Latin Grammy in the category of Best Rock Solo Vocal Album for her album “Necia.” Alih reached number 16 on the Billboard Latin Charts with her first single “It’s Ok,” and has received glowing reviews for her albums over the years from Billboard Magazine, KCRW and NPR.  
 Alih has penned songs for Ricky Martin, JLO, Wisin, Gloria Trevi, Jessica Simpson, David Bisbal, Paulina Rubio, Jarina De Marco, Dulce María, Ednita Nazario, Maité Perroni, Los Rakas, and more. In 2016 Alih won a BMI award for co-writing Ricky Martin’s hit single “Adrenalina (Spanglish).” 
 Her most recent album “Soy De Peña,” in collaboration with Cuñao, is a tribute to her father Aníbal De Peña, who to this day remains an icon in Dominican Musical History. Alih Jey is currently signed to Sony Music Publishing and is also part of the band The Mexican Standoff.
