Biography

Rome is an Afro-Cuban, Emmy Award-winning actor and model, who is sharing his longtime passion of music with the world. Even from humble beginnings in a small household in Chicago, with his single mother and seven siblings, Rome grew up listening to Marvin Gaye and Teddy Pendergrass, who are also his musical inspirations. His love for singing was ignited and despite graduating high school with a full basketball scholarship, Rome moved to Los Angeles to chase his Hollywood dreams. Although, it wasn’t a smooth journey, Rome was able to book his first acting gig a few months after arriving in LA and more opportunities followed. He finally made his mark on both the small and big screen with acting credits including: ABC’s highly successful, Emmy Award-winning drama series “How To Get Away With Murder,” “Madea’s Family Funeral,” CBS’s daytime drama “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and Lionsgate’s “The Haves and the Have Nots.” After obtaining acting success, Rome wanted to revisit his first love…..music. He taught himself to play the guitar and piano and in 2019, decided to introduce his fans to his music, with the debut of “Brand New.” Rome later returned in 2020, to release his official single titled, “Keep Me In Mind.” The song has since captured domestic and international attention from media including: Daily Mail UK, ThatGrapeJuice.net, HotNewHipHop, Sway’s Universe on Sirius XM, Essence Magazine, The NY Post and more.
