Biography
Mississippi native DevMaccc found an interest in music at an early age with the help of his mother who was also an artist & the help of his father and godfathers who supplied him with multiple records that inspired his sound. Struggling with depression due to his mother’s battle with breast cancer, he began to find an outlet; music. Performing in school and community talent shows, he began to build a buzz around his name. After the reoccurrence of his mother’s cancer, Maccc's pen became limitless as he found himself writing more about things that hit close to home. In 2016 Maccc decided to re-release his 4 track EP "Four.Twenty" from Soundcloud to all platforms in 2018. Maccc soon began to take the South by storm including his home state and other major cities in the southern region. In 2019 Maccc returned with the release of his full length mixtape OFFTOP gaining the attention in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York. After the announcement of Covid-19, Maccc was determined to complete his second segment of Four.Twenty. That following summer, "Four.Twenty: Sessions 2" was released which eventually inspired a new chapter for Maccc. In 2021, he shocked his fanbase with a hip-hop & rnb infused EP entitled "Lone Lover". Since then, Dev has released FTS3 with the follow up of the 2nd installment to his Lone Lover series, "Still Alone" which features Brooklyn native producer and rapper illPhil, along with Mississippi rising star Akeem Ali.
