Biography
Wallfella infuses topics related to struggle with hard hitting dark sounds. From the Northside of Dublin City, Wallfella paints a picture for the listener to show some of the environmental and systemic issues he has dealt with throughout his life. A true spokesperson for the working class, Wallfella has seen healthy growth with his music, the maturity in the songs is evidence of this. Releasing music since 2016, Wallfella has took a lot of inspiration in his music from Ireland and worldwide. Some of these artists include Lethal Dialect, G.I, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott and Dave. These artists inspired Wallfella to begin writing in 2015 leading to an EP release on August 10th 2019 titled Alright?, a taster of what Wallfella was capable of. On September 4th 2020, Wallfella released The North's Face, a 9 track album that expressed a feeling displayed from the artist's environment. Some notable tracks on the project are Devaney Flow and 4 Door Whip which are true anthems of North Dublin. Since the release of his first EP, the O'Devaney Gardens born artist has gone from strength to strength, appearing at shows alongside Sea High, Jeorge II, Emmet O'Brien and Citizen Black. A promising talent with a lot to offer to the stocked roster of Irish rappers, Wallfella will be someone to keep an eye on in the future, from what has been showcased up until now the potential will no doubt be fulfilled.
