Biography

Originating from the musical city of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Asparagus is a four-piece indie rock band that finds their sound in combining dreamy guitar tones with groovy drumbeats and the occasional dash of heavy hitting riffs. The group found its beginnings somewhat accidentally in 2018 when late night jam sessions amongst future members produced a diverse musical catalogue. Asparagus quickly developed buzz within the underground music scene of Eau Claire, further developing their sound and drawing packed in crowds to local house shows. The band has since done a handful of performances around the Eau Claire and Twin Cities area playing with bands of the likes of Miloe, Marmalade, and many more. In 2019, they released their mixtape “Here Comes the Helium” as a SoundCloud exclusive, which has since been added to all streaming platforms. This was followed by the release of the self-produced single “Growing Pain”. After not releasing music for a year and a half, Asparagus has returned with their debut EP “FOOL” through the brand-new music collective Flavor World Records. This is the first professionally mixed and mastered project done by the group, and it features a rerecording of the fan favorite track “Unknown”.
