Biography

Hello and welcome to my project Mild Monk. My name is Henry and I love to write songs, skateboard, and create videos. I currently live in Santa Clara, California and work as a video editor. Although music isn't my full time career, I'm aspiring to make it one. Musically, I have the most experience playing electric guitar, but I've also learned piano, electric bass, and drums so that I can turn the ideas in my head into songs. My journey of studying music has been largely self-taught, but aided and inspired by friends, mentors, and online resources along the way. I'm also a frequent co-writer / producer for my good friend's project Peach Luffe. We connected over Instagram through our love for 80's Japanese City Pop music and then immediately made an EP together called Beyond. Since then we've written a handful of songs together such as Blue Summer, Fly Fly Fly, Honestly, and Yoshi's Island.
