Biography
20-year old German artist Pablo Brooks is slowly paving his own way in the pop landscape, wrapping his deeply personal, introspective storytelling into anthemic pop songs made for the big stage. 'I write songs about my generation, for my generation, from the perspective of someone in my generation. The trials and tribulations of being young, the pain, the glory, the euphoria, the ecstasy, the regret, the love and the loss." - Pablo Brooks His debut EP 'Not Like The Movies' is a synth-pop driven record about growing up and paving one’s own way in the real world. Songs about expectations, falling in and out of love, questioning oneself, hopelessness and fear are presented in roaring, anthemic melodies and driving production. In 2022, Brooks released 'Perfume' and 'Waste', that see Brooks opening up more on themes of queerness (and queer angst). They show a more alternative, guitar-driven sound, reminiscent of contemporaries such as Lorde and Holly Humberstone. Embarking on his second tour in Early 2023, with sold out shows across Germany, Amsterdam and Antwerp, as well as headline shows in the UK, Austria and Switzerland, Pablo could prove his unique energy as a live performer. Critically acclaimed, sold out shows across Europe, and with hundreds of thousands followers across social media, Pablo Brooks is steadily becoming one of Germany's most exciting Pop newcomers. 'Pleaser', his sophomore EP, featuring viral single 'Perfume' is out July 7.
