Prince Edward Island based singer/songwriter Kelley Mooney has sold over 10,000 albums, her songs have more than 15 million YouTube views, she has been on CDBaby’s ‘Top Seller List’ for three years running, and her rendition of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah has spent time on multiple Billboard charts, reaching number 3 on ‘Christian Digital Song Sales, number 12 on ‘Hot Christian Songs’ and number 42 on ‘Country Digital Song Sales’. Raised in rural Iona, PEI, Kelley recalls singing from an early age. “The acoustics were great in the hollow, but were best in the kitchen where Dad would pay a quarter a song whenever anyone stopped by.” She’s a blend of country, gospel, pop and folk, drawing influence from the many kinds of music played on the numerous stereos in the house. With 2 parents and 4 siblings, all with diverse tastes, Kelley shows influences from Patsy Cline and the Judds to Abba and classic rock. Set for release in November 2017, “Caroling” is a collection of Christmas songs, both new and classic, and includes two originals which paint a picture of home at Christmastime.
