Biography
Equipped with deep frequencies and floor-tight grooves, Lowdown has sharpened the tools to deliver low-end vibrations and dancefloor energy to the house music movement. Born and raised in Brisbane, Australia, Lowdown knew from the very beginning that he was meant to create. Following humble beginnings as a hip-hop DJ and turntablist, he embraced the energy of electronic music in 2008 with his influences rooted in hip-hop and rave. Apart from his prowess behind the decks, Lowdown’s sheer creativity and attention-to-detail in the studio have landed his sound on prestigious labels such as Night Bass, Confession, This Ain’t Bristol, Box of Cats and more. In an ever-growing scene with an abundance of creators, Lowdown dares to be different and succeeds in that regard. Lowdown’s official remix of Tchami and Malaa’s “The Sermon” leads the No Redemption Tour remix package, a track that would soon land Lowdown alongside Tchami and Malaa on the Brisbane leg of their No Redemption Tour later in 2018. That same year, Lowdown made his debut on Tchami’s CONFESSION imprint with the release of The 411 Vol 1, including his statement single “6AM.” Lowdown’s handful of chart-topping singles have circulated throughout the house music scene, garnering radio play on the acclaimed Diplo & Friends, Triple J, Sirius XM, and more.
