Biography
Celebrity DJ and Think It’s A Game Records New Head of A&R, “Bigga Rankin” is one of the most influential record breakers in the business. One of Bigga’s first tactical initiatives for TIG Records is the formation of the new “Bigga Is Betta/TIG Record Breakers” DJ Coalition powered by his legendary crew “Coolrunning DJs.” This strategic partnership aims to further bridge and strengthen the connection between TIG Records, its artists and DJs, so that together, they may increase their reach to the masses. Prior to joining TIG Records, “Bigga Rankin” has dedicated over 25 years to the hip-hop industry. Most recently, Bigga worked extensively in the Atlanta radio scene with Street’s A&R, where he was famous for mixtape hosting, his independent artist “Street & Greet” tours and his record-breaking Cool Running DJs organization. His expertise in promoting has also brought great success with powerhouse labels, such as Young Jeezy's Imprint CTE, Atlantic Records, Goodlife Music Group, Def Jam, Slip N Slide Records, and Interscope. Bigga’s most notable effort to-date was his WRNR mixtape series that helped ignite the careers of a plethora of artists – including Plies, YFN Lucci, Young Dolph, Shy Glizzy, Rick Ross, Yo Gotti, B.o.B., Gucci Mane and 2 Chainz just to name a few.
