Biography

Hailing from Columbia, Maryland, Jaysanityy is a self-taught, producer and all-around artist that began exploring art forms at a young age. At only age 18, Sanityy has mastered the ability to tell honest, soulful stories with simple, yet complex wordplay alongside his unique production. Coupled with his love for drawing, Jay channeled his lifelong interest in art by finding his path in the world of music. Expressing himself in every cover and every bar, Jay honed his skills with constant practice. He found himself writing songs in school, church, and anywhere he was able to put a pen to paper. His 2022 project “shoot the messenger” is a personal, well-thought-out body of work that showcases the struggles of following dreams in a world that is known to throw negativity on the average teenager. Created entirely from his bedroom, “shoot the messenger” has proven itself as a mark in Sanityy’s small, yet impressive career. His goal is to see how far his artistry can take him, as said in his 2023 song “fresh air”. He fulfills this dream with every project he’s dropped, the first official one being “Imperially Young” in 2018. By creating the label AKQ Official (FKA Ascending Kingz) alongside Omontizay, Sanityy has built his own platform as a versatile artist by mixing, producing, and mastering for his fellow label mates. Jaysanityy is here to express himself throughout his art and relate to his listeners.
