Biography
This Is Falling is a band from St. Louis, Missouri. The band is comprised of five members - Mikey Kunstel (vocals), Isaac Etter (vocals/bass), Brett Ortwerth (guitar), Sean Dothager (guitar), and TJ Younger (drums). The band existed in various forms from 2009 to 2013 playing in and around the St. Louis local scene. This culminated with an appearance on the St. Louis stop of the Van’s Warped Tour and the release of their first 7-song EP We Built This On Our Own prior to going on hiatus for other musical endeavors. The band reunited in summer 2019 and released Apart followed by a 7-song EP Reprise in July of 2020, releasing a video for Whisper to accompany the EP. Following Reprise, the band independently produced and released a 1980’s horror/slasher-themed single and short film Straight Shot for Halloween 2020. The next 3 years were spent working on full-length album TIFwave album, out now.
