Biography

Uncle Deadly came about during some Kaizers Orchestra downtime in 2009. Geir Zahl had fathered some songs out of wedlock and figured he might as well grant them birth certificates and the honorable prospect of being recorded and presented to the world as finished songs. Drummer and engineer Børge Fjordheim and pianist, guitarist and singer Christer Knutsen were called in to godfather the bastards and joined Geir at Morten Abels "Elektrolüd studio" at Tou in Stavanger, together they created conditions that caused the album to come to life during late summer 2009. Some formidable musicians popped by during the recordings and helped this become a really fun and enjoyable record, both to make and listen to, Morten Abel, Janove Ottesen, Thomas Dybdahl, Thom Hell, Even Ormestad, Hans Egil Løe and Britt-Synnøve Johannesen all made great contributions to songs on this album.
