Biography
French blackmetal pioneers. Since 1995. Bringing back to life their cult first album Les Blessures de l'Ame released in 2000, in live shows and with a new live album Les Blessures De L'âme: XX Ans De Blasphème After the 1996 debut MCD By Fire Power Shall Be, SETH first full-length Les Blessures de l'Ame under Season of Mist in 1998 emerged as the cornerstone of French Black Metal with pioneering French lyrics. Among the very first Season of Mist bands, the critically acclaimed album did generate a solid fanbase and quickly brought SETH under the spot light overseas. Being part of the then cult A Tribute to Mayhem: Originators of the Northern Darkness, the band inked a 2 release deal with OSMOSE PRODUCTIONS. Second sophomore, The Excellence, was supported by Fenriz from Darkthrone on lyrics and other prestigious names of the time. Next album, Divine X, is released in 2002. The opus has captured SETH acute ability to mix gloomy and violent atmospheres. Going back to Holland to record Era-Decay as a 4th full-length in 2005. The band gets back on Season of Mist in 2011, after a significant 5-year break, to eventually release album 5 entitled The Howling Spirit. 2018, the band embarks on a series of exclusive concerts, playing the 1998 first album anniversary at major festivals and releases the gig on a live album through Les Acteurs de l'Ombre productions. Today SETH is still playing live, supporting the anniversary live album and is preparing a new revival opus.
