Biography

Eric Cannata is a songwriter, guitarist, and producer living in Los Angeles, Ca He spends most of his time working on music projects including his bands Young the Giant and Coma Culture, as well as writing and producing with other artists. In 2020, Eric released his debut solo EP, Lonely Beast. The EP was recorded at Music Box Studios in Fullerton, CA with Cannata's long time friend and Coma bandmate Jon O'Brien over 2 days. "Jon put together a band of three awesome musicians, all whom I had never met before the day we recorded the songs. It was Levi Matulis on drums, Jeremy Long on piano and pedal steel and Dave Pelusi on bass. Instrumentally, we did the 5 songs live together the first day, and the second day I added vocals, some keys, and percussion. I didn't want to give myself time to overthink, or over bake these recordings." Right now Eric is working on the 5th Young the Giant record, the sophomore album for Coma Culture, the sophomore album of his partner/Americana singer-songwriter Hannah Connolly and writing and recording music for himself. He plans to do another solo release sometime in 2023.
