Biography
Ivory Coast duo Force One are known for their high-energy Coupé-Décalé sound, fusing Afro-beat, dancehall, and electronic traditions. The duo first grabbed fans' attention with their 2003 single, "Salamandre," before gaining yet wider attention with their 2014 single "Number One." Hailing from the Côte d'Ivoire, Force One features singers JM (Jean Marie Konan) and Major Goldman (Sébastien Amani). They made their debut with the 2003 song "Salamandre" before spending several years working in Europe. They returned in 2007 with the single "Coupé-Décalé Dance," followed a year later by "Africa Baby." In 2014, they released another popular single, "Number One," which grabbed fans with its kinetic mix of Afro-beat and dancehall rhythms. They have also collaborated on tracks with Mr. Eazi, Shado Chris, and others. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
