Biography
‘Paralysed’ is the long awaited EP following Zoë’s latest runup of singles, which gained the support of BBC Introducing's Jaguar Bingham. The EP’s title track “Paralysed’ is inspired by the concept of being paralysed in indecision, and the production captures this tension perfectly, gradually building up in vocal and guitar layers to an intense ending. The pairing of emotive vocals with indie guitar riffs could sit somewhere between Phoebe Bridgers and Holly Humberstone. Rising from Hertfordshire, Zoë’s music has previously started to make a mark on BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 6 music, whilst remixes of her songs have been aired across BBC R1 Xtra and Kiss FM. Zoë’s vocals and writings have been MTV Dance primetime playlisted as well as previously charted on Music Week’s Commercial Pop chart, with her track ‘Learn To Swim’ reaching the iTunes top 50 Singer Songwriter chart. Live performances include the Rabbit Hole stage at Glastonbury Festival, Sofar Sounds and a recent support slot to Hannah Grace at the ‘Never Fade Records’ showcase (Gabrielle Aplin’s label). “I really, really like it!” Katy Hills, BBC Radio London. “What a great voice” Will Wolstenholme, BBC Lancashire & Scruff of The Neck (Best small label of 2019 AIM awards)
