Biography

Courtney is known for hazy, synth-heavy pop combined with her dreamy vocals. The 21-year old singer-songwriter comes originally from Houston, TX and is currently based in Charlottesville, VA. The moods of her songs vary from romantic to laid-back, mixed with jazz, hip-hop and funk influences. Courtney’s shift towards indie rock has been well-received by her audience so far, and her upcoming single “The Cave” marks her first foray into rougher grunge and punk influences, which have been modernized by the likes of beabadoobee, Snail Mail, and Phoebe Bridgers. “The Cave” is Courtney’s first single off her upcoming 4-song EP “Falldown” releasing in August. This intense, dreamlike look into the strange world of a mining accident explores the broader concepts of betrayal and abandonment.
