Biography
Since her first release in 2003 Natalie Gardiner has release a string of highly acclaimed EPs and full length albums. Gardiner's debut EP Trouble In Mind, released in 2003 on the producer RMJCs Ramjac label, attracted the attention of an international audience and she was soon in demand on the lively nu jazz/breakbeat scene as a guest vocalist. Her self-titled album debut Natalie Gardiner was released in 2004, and with RMJC in the producer's seat there was a sweet mix of soul and electronics to complement Gardiner's powerful vocals. The recording became an underground hit and led to further invitations from producers and DJs for guest vocals, with notable appearances on Gert-Jan Bijl aka Gerd's 4 Lux label. Gardiner's follow-up, California reprised the successful style of her debut and was released at the end of 2007 leading to even more collaboration with the likes of DJ Slow and The Broken Orchestra. In 2011 Natalie Gardiner returned with a new fresh sound on the double album Northern Skies. Replaced was the heavy beats that defined her previous released to leave space for a new more acoustic and organic sound. In 2012 director Ava DuVerney used the song "If I Ever" in her film Middle of Nowhere. In 2020 Natalie Gardiner is set to return with a string of EPs with new music.
