KANGDANIEL (born December 10, 1996) is a South Korean rapper/vocalist/dancer, best known for finishing #1 at hit K-Pop idol auditioning TV program Produce 101 (season 2). KANGDANIEL debuted with Wanna One on August 7, 2017. Their debut EP became a super success with more than 1.5M copies sold as of December 2017, making Wanna One the first K-pop group to sell a million copies of their debut album. 
 KANGDANIEL has been in the spotlight since his debut. South Korean entertainment journalists voted KANGDANIEL as No.1 amongst the 10 Best Rising Stars of 2017. On top of all that, he took second place on Gallup Korea’s annual survey for favorite K-pop idol in 2017, signifying the ever important public recognition on his impact in the entertainment industry throughout his debut year. 
 His success continued on after his debut year. In 2018, Forbes selected KANGDANIEL as one of the Top 5 2030 Power Leaders of Korea in the entertainment industry. In January 2019, KANGDANIEL achieved the Guinness World Record for the fastest time to gain one million followers on Instagram by taking 11 hours 36 minutes to reach one million followers.
