Biography
Underlying sadness, the symptom of a generation. One whose world is crumbling before their eyes while trying to navigate growing up, heart-break and bad advice. LOOME began life as the happy romantic, dreaming of a better life in the stars. Time would reveal this as textbook escapism but retrospect is a beautifully sad thing. LOOME the solo project for British multi-instrumentalist and writer, Tomas Frankson gained notoriety via extensive Spotify Editorial playlist support during the global lockdown. 2021 single PSYCHO resonated with the young dreamers and free spirits so-named the ‘CADETS’. In response, LOOME stretched himself across the globe via Moment House to bring them a full-band live-streamed show performing all tracks across three different timezones. October 2022 brought a five-track EP, affectionately named ‘We’re All Fvcked’ which sets modern society in its crosshairs. EARMILK says “The EP as a whole shape-shifts from chart-worthy singer/ songwriter-tinged cuts to bedroom pop inspired tracks. Loome's vocals are at the forefront throughout, sitting gracefully above its momentum-giving beats, delivering melodies that shift from melancholic to optimistic.” The self-produced EP also received praise from legend Mike Hillier at Metropolis Studio, whose mastering work bound the songs together into one cohesive sucker punch to the heart. Influences include The 1975, LANY, Julia Michaels & Coldplay
