Biography

RICCII, was born into a musical family and began singing at age 3; inspired by Shakira and Ricky Martin, RICCII and his father Alberto La Torre (of 80’s ballad group, “Los Pasteles Verdes”), began producing Mexican mariachi music. Later, he began singing American Pop Music, learning styles of Michael Jackson, Ne-Yo, and Chris Brown, which RICCII merged into Reggaeton (Pop Urbano/Latino). This young, dynamic reggaeton artist has been seen on shows such as, “Telemundo,” “Don Francisco’s Sábado Gigante,” and “Univisión’s La Banda,” and venues such as Ford Amphitheater, LA Sports Arena, and Staples Center. In addition, RICCII has been able to attain the title for the Latin Song of the Year in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest in back to back years (2019, 2020), a feat that has never been done in the history of Latin category of that competition.
