Biography

Kyle McEvoy is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer based in upstate New York. The Woodstock-based musician has recorded and toured as a lead guitarist with influential folk artist Kath Bloom and written/recorded alongside Ed Askew, The Shivers, L. Martin (of The Walters) and Peter CottonTale. McEvoy has also collaborated with producers and artists such as Philanthrope, SYML, Wilderado and Brock Berrigan and has played guitar and written/produced for a wide variety of artists like Mick Jenkins, Blockhead, Ant Clemons, Delaney Bailey and Penguin Prison. While McEvoy’s reach is broad and his output is extensive, his sound remains wrapped around an ambient style. Music with a nostalgic sound brought on by melodic fingerpicking & slide guitar, often run through various vintage tape delays. He is currently working on a new full length album coming out spring 2023.
