Biography
As a professional musician for over 30 years, Joe Bonamassa continues to blaze a remarkably versatile artistic trail, and amass an authentic, innovative and soulful body of work. Bonamassa's career began onstage opening for B.B. King in 1989 when he was only 12 years old. Today, he is hailed worldwide as one of the greatest guitar players of his generation and is an ever-evolving singer-songwriter with over 40 albums to date all under his own label, J&R Adventures. In 2011 Joe founded the Keeping The Blues Alive Foundation, a non-profit organization with the mission of providing resources and funding for music education across the United States. To date Bonamassa has received two GRAMMY nominations and recently achieved his 23rd #1 Billboard Blues Album (more than any other artist) with the release of A New Day Now, the re-sung, revamped celebratory 20th anniversary edition of his debut solo album, A New Day Yesterday. Joe’s new studio album ROYAL TEA recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios was released October 23rd and continues to garner acclaim from fans and critics alike. While touring is on hiatus, Bonamassa has been staying busy with a brand new video interview series, “Live From Nerdville,” and by promoting his Fueling Musicians Program to aid touring artists affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. To date, Joe has raised $350,000 through Fueling Musicians which has been distributed to over 200 musicians in need. More info at: Jbonamassa.com
