Dominique Fils-Aimé [Domineek FEES-em-AY] is a JUNO Award winning singer-songwriter from Montreal. Her most recent album trilogy is an ambitious conceptualization of the history of African American music, reflecting on the social realities that influenced the genres of blues, jazz and soul. Through this process she gains a deeper appreciation of the emotion behind the music, channeling that spirit into her own work. Dominique’s career blossomed when her sophomore album, “Stay Tuned!”, received a write-up on Revelation Jazz for Radio Canada. “Stay Tuned!” was then shortlisted for the Polaris Music Prize and was featured among the nineteen best Canadian albums of 2019 by CBC. Her debut album, “Nameless” is used as a reference recording for audiophiles across the world and was showcased at High End Munich and AXPONA. And most recently, “Three Little Words”, also made the Polaris Music Prize shortlist nomination, claimed the #1 spot for best selling album in Quebec and hit #2 in Canada, with over 300 hundred media mentions worldwide. Dominique Fils-Aimé has toured in both Canada, the U.S., and Europe.
